Serving educators since 1937 About Us
At Continental, we believe in helping every student reach their fullest potential. Founded in 1937 by Horace E. Raffensperger, our mission is to provide PreK–12 educators with materials that advance student achievement and inspire life-long learning. We’re dedicated to developing materials that will meet the evolving needs of both students and teachers.
Our supplemental resources for early literacy, reading and English language arts, mathematics, ESL/ELL, and state standards are designed to strengthen your teaching and elevate student achievement. Continental’s print and digital offerings support special needs, differentiated instruction, intervention, and general classroom learning.
Continental has emerged as a leader in programs for English Language Learners (ELLs). Instruction and practice promote language development and prepare students for state ELP assessments, including WIDA’s ACCESS for ELLs 2.0®, Texas TELPAS test, and New York NYSESLAT.
We proudly support today’s learners as they become tomorrow’s leaders.
