The California Finish Line English-Language Arts workbook gives students an opportunity to review and practice the reading and writing skills that are outlined in the English-Language Arts Content Standards for California Public Schools for grades 9 and 10 and the skills that are tested by the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE).
Lessons include:
- Detailed descriptions of the skills
- Guided practice
Students will get more than just practice here—they’ll get help. They’ll learn how to examine answer choices as they decide on their answers.
- Techniques for improving reading and writing skills
- Strategies for improving test-taking skills
- Independent practice
A section called “It’s Your Turn” features reading questions and writing tasks to help students practice what they’ve learned.
