MCAS ELA Performance Indicator

Test students on their knowledge of the learning standards from the Curriculum Framework’s Language and Reading and Literature strands and the District of Columbia's Reading/ELA Learning Standards.

Two forms (booklets) are available for every grade level. Each form is set up in three sessions and tests students on grade-appropriate MCAS and DCCAS strands:

• Forms for grade 3 provide practice for the Reading Test.
• Forms for grades 4-10 provide practice for the Language and Literature Test.

Item formats are aligned to those on the MCAS Reading and English Language Arts Tests and the District of Columbia's Reading/ELA Learning Standards:

• Multiple-choice Questions
• Open-response Questions
