Guidelines for Manuscript submission
Continental Press publishes educational materials for grade levels K–12 and for adult education. We welcome manuscripts and proposals for programs that have been classroom-tested and that fit specific educational purposes.
Instructional materials for appropriate grade levels, in series such as K–3, 3–6, K–8, 6–12, etc., will be reviewed for possible publication. Single titles will also be considered for distinctive educational situations or for teachers.
In general, materials should be suitable for independent student use. If a manuscript is accepted for publication by Continental Press, authors will be expected to submit an accompanying teacher’s edition for publication as well.
Submissions should include:
- a program rationale
- information about the source of the program and about the author
- a scope and sequence or outline
- a sample lesson, chapter, or unit
All submissions should be submitted in typed form. If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the author must be prepared to furnish electronic files as well as hard copy.
Proposals for software or other non-print educational materials may be submitted as disks with accompanying descriptive print material.
All submissions should be accompanied by return postage and must clearly indicate a return address on the manuscript. Materials that are not accepted for publication will be returned to the author within six months.
Manuscripts must be sent to the following address:
